Product Description
The Epicenter® InDash- InDash Bass Restoration Processor
If you want the best bass possible and a way to measure how loud your system is playing, The Epicenter InDash car audio processor is the perfect product for you. The Epicenter InDash is an expert combination of the bass enhancement circuits along with a microphone and a 160-dB SPL (sound pressure level) display. The display will show real time SPL or hold the highest value so you can show your friends. It will also display voltage so you can monitor your vehicle's electrical systems. With AudioControl's unique Para-Bass equalization control, you select the frequency and bandwidth for the enhanced bass action. The Epicenter InDash car audio processor gives you great bass and a way to see the result.
The Epicenter InDash uses AudioControl's bass restoration circuitry, which actually adds lower octaves of bass to any performance autosound system. In addition, The Epicenter InDash includes AudioControl's Para-Bass equalization, which allows the user to fine-tune the bass response to their specific vehicle. The net result is more bass... louder.
In addition to allowing users to maximize their bass response, the new The Epicenter InDash offers a specially designed microphone mounted on the front panel that can measure up to 160 dB. The SPL is then shown on an LED display on the front panel of The Epicenter InDash. Optionally, users of The Epicenter InDash may select to see their SPL measurement constantly updating or in a peak hold mode. The display also will show the systems power voltage with one tenth volt resolution.
Key Features:
Bring The Bass
AudioControl's The Epicenter InDash bass processor will maximize the low-frequency power of your system, whether you listen to bass from a small tube or a multi-woofer competition setup. Simply install this processor between your car's receiver and your amps, and hear what you've been missing.
Bass Processor Restores the Lowest Frequencies
The Epicenter InDash uses the bass enhancement circuitry of AudioControl's legendary "The Epicenter" bass processor to analyze the signal coming from your headunit, restore low bass tones, and increase your bass response without stressing out your speakers. And you can connect The Epicenter InDash to just about any receiver, thanks to its speaker and preamp-level inputs.
Simple Yet Effective
One twist of the bass knob, and you'll hear the bottom returning to your music. The Epicenter InDash does a great job of pumping up your digital music files or live recordings, restoring low bass that's been lost to compression or poor recording. Separate parametric, Para-BASS controls let you fine tune bass response and allow you to choose the center frequency for the bass maximization circuitry.
SPL Meter for Competitors
You'll also get an SPL display that uses a built-in microphone to measure the sound pressure level of your system. All the way up to 160 dB. A "Peak Hold" setting allows you to show off your system's maximum bump. The display also monitors your battery voltage, a nice feature if you've been playing music with the engine turned off. A warning light lets you know when interior sound levels exceed 120 dB so you can use ear protection. And you can switch the backlight illumination to either red or blue, to go with your car or mood.
